hi I'm Brian Bennett with cnet.com and
today we're taking a first look at the
Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX it's available
on Verizon for two $99.99 this Android
handset is a follow up to the original
and very popular Droid Razr everything
that made the first Droid Razr a hit is
here 1.2 gigahertz dual-core processor a
big 4.3 inch Super AMOLED q HD
resolution screen Verizon 4G LTE data
and 32 gigabytes of memory you get 16
gig internal and 16 gigabyte on a micro
SD card an 8 megapixel main camera is
able to capture 1080p video there's also
Android 2.3 Gingerbread also you get an
HDMI out for outputting 2 HD TVs as you
might have guessed from its name the
main improvement with the Droid RAZR
MAXX
is a much higher capacity battery
Motorola ups the battery in the max to
3300 milliamps which is leaps and bounds
beyond the 1780 milliamp battery the
first row grader came with one drawback
though is that while the Droid RAZR MAXX
is close to the same thickness as the
original Droid Razr
Motorola filled in the extra space below
the hump found on the first device more
mass equals more weight making the razor
max slightly heavier at five point 1
ounces compared to 4.5 ounces for the
original Droid Razr still motorola
claims the Droid RAZR MAXX serves up a
talktime of over 21 hours and almost 16
days of standby time it'll probably take
some time to run our battery test so
check back soon for our full review
