hi I'm Brian Bennett at sina.com and
today we're taking a first look at the
Motorola elite sliver the trend in
smartphones especially Android devices
is to be bigger and badder than the next
guy but Bluetooth headsets however
aren't an arms race to squeeze as many
high-end features into the smallest size
possible the 12999 elite sliver is right
in line with this practice while not as
light as other headsets like the
Plantronics mark its 0.3 ounce weight is
barely noticeable compact it uses a wrap
around the air design the call button is
on the bottom of the air loop a smart
button on the front doubles as a volume
control you turn the headset on and off
by swiveling the air piece also part of
the package is a case that holds a
portable battery the headset doesn't
have a standard port for charging but
its case sports a micro USB connection
now there are things I don't like about
the Motorola elite sliver while Motorola
provides a selection of ear gels for the
air piece the air bud is too large to
fit inside the ear and provide a true
audio seal the air loop is tricky to
strap on especially for people who wear
eyeglasses like me the smart button and
volume button is small and hard to
manipulating I'm Brian Bennett for
cnet.com and you've just taken a first
look at the Motorola elite sliver
Bluetooth headset be sure to check back
