a star was dimming but why on May 19th a
star known as kic 8 4 6 - 8 5 - started
dipping in brightness the star is also
known as tabby star named after
astronomer Tabitha voyage eon tabby star
is around 1300 light-years away from
Earth it was first discovered in 2011
data collected by the Kepler space
telescope revealed that tabby star
emitted life patterns unlike any of the
150,000 stars Kepler had recorded when
dimming of stars is observed it means
something is passing in front of it
oddly the dips in brightness of tabby
star did not follow any obvious patterns
if a planet is responsible for dimming
it usually occurs in regular intervals
also that light dimmed from 3 percent to
more than 20 percent so what's causing
this dimming here are the possibilities
voyage eon thinks it could be a
duplicate of an event that happened
several years ago observed by the Kepler
space telescope that would suggest it is
the same object passing in front of the
star some people like astronomer Jason
Wright postulate the dimming could be
caused by huge mega structures that are
orbiting the star so maybe aliens caused
this right now there are no firm
findings on what exactly passes in front
of tabi star by Monday May 22nd the dip
seemed to be over and tabby star was
returning to its normal brightness for
