alright so i'm here with NASA's newest
designs for what could be the future of
commercial jetliners we have right here
is a truss braced wing which is its
version of the next generation of a 757
these are the idea here is that it has a
longer wingspan it's thinner and it has
these struts to basically health support
this longer than average wingspan but
here's the benefit and this is why
masses interested it expects that
commercial airline traffic is going to
double by 2050 which means you know a
lot more people a lot more pollution
lot more gas consumption which is
exactly what this does differently it
consumes fifty to sixty percent as much
gasoline as Jeff people as a 737 it
flies faster and it's six times quieter
that's the benefit find a few friendly
skies are you actually
