well there are a lot of smartwatches but
where are they gonna go next I'm Scott
Stein in Barcelona at Mobile World
Congress there are some technologies
that haven't emerged yet that could
still change smartwatches the I tribe is
actually working on a prototype for eye
tracking technology the eye tribe is a
$99 box currently that tracks your eye
motion and it works with a reading apps
for instance like spritz is a great
example that looks at speed reading you
look away then it stops you can look
back and it will do one word at a time
speed reading you can also look up and
down to speed up or slow that down and
the idea here is this is using a Sony
SmartWatch hardware and a very early
early a developer prototype to see what
it would look like maybe on a watch so
you could look at your watch to read and
then when you look away it turns up what
could that be used for well imagine
energy saving capabilities you could
pair this with something like an
accelerometer the accelerometer turns on
the eye tracking software and/or
hardware and then you could actually
look at it to turn on the screen maybe
down the road that would help SmartWatch
just stay a little bit smarter from
