New Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming laptop hands-on review

the words budget gaming laptop typically
conjure up visions of big bulky laptops
that are short on performance and
features as they are on battery life and
yet they can still set you back $1,000
that's why Dells updated Inspiron 15
7000 gaming laptop is a pleasant
surprise in the category since it really
isn't lacking in any of those for the
money Dell recently updated the laptop
fixing things we didn't like on the
original such as getting rid of the
older versions horrible display for a
better IPS screen with good off angle
viewing improving the touchpad and
adding a Thunderbolt 3 USB C port Dell
even added a fingerprint reader into the
power button for Windows hello sign-ins
most importantly Dell bumped up the
graphics power with an Nvidia 1060 card
it's the max Q version of the card so
it's a little less powerful than the
regular 1060 but not by much the
thousand-dollar base configuration comes
up short in memory and storage but you
can easily add those on your own
although the Dell Inspiron 15 7000 is
improved it still has the look and feel
of an entry level gaming PC so don't
expect something as plush as a laptop
costing two or three times as much but
for the money this remains one of our
favorite gaming laptops
