New Yahoo hack hits 1B accounts, Amazon Echo heads to Vegas (Tech Today)

Yahoo's year the once internet giant has
just disclosed another massive
record-breaking hack in fact this time
affecting over 1 billion accounts the
breach took place back in August of 2013
the stolen data includes email addresses
phone numbers dates of birth and
passwords of course the question once
again is how will this affect verizon's
purchase of the company which still
remains to be seen Amazon's echo digital
assistant will soon be installed in all
of the roughly forty seven hundred rooms
at the wynn in Las Vegas the devices
will allow guests that control some
basic room operations like temperature
adjustment turning the lights on and off
the echoes will be fully installed by
next summer in an open letter to the
world's major camera makers more than
150 filmmakers and journalists have
requested new encryption provisions to
be introduced to video and photo
recording technology in order to protect
their work from authoritarian
governments who might wish to see such
