hi I'm Scott staying here and apples event in San Francisco and last year the ipad mini came out and everyone would expected it was a really nice design but what about the retina display well here it is is the ipad mini with retina display and it feels exactly the same as last year's model still really light really compact and yes that screen is seven point nine inches 2048 x 1536 it is the same resolution as the 9.7 inch ipad you're actually getting better pixel density in this model you're also getting an a7 processor which is a bump up from the a5 last year so it sleeping a generation and you've got an m7 coprocessor really the same specs underneath it feels to the iphone 5s but no touch ID these are standard home buttons here now this is coming out later in november and the price is going to be 399 a little more than last year's 329 ipad mini but that iPad Mini is sticking around it will drop down to 299 and is currently available so you have a choice of retina and non-retina versions with a little bit of a processor leap and at the same time you're going to have that ipad air which is going to be a lot lighter and it's going to have similar resolution to keep an eye out for both this fall you interesting to see which one people choose i'm scott stein with a look at the new Retina display ipad mini
