New legal trouble for Uber, and a kid beats Face ID on his mom's iPhone X (Tech Today)

uber is facing yet another lawsuit a New
York based law firm filed a complaint
seeking class-action status on behalf of
two anonymous women and any other riders
who may have experienced sexual assault
or harassment while using the
ride-sharing service the company has
been hit with at least three separate
lawsuits alleging its drivers sexually
assaulted passengers multiple states
have launched investigations into over
screening process for its drivers when
asked for comment uber says it takes the
allegations very seriously and is
currently reviewing the complaint a
video of a son unlocking his mother's
iPhone with his face is raising
questions about the security of face ID
on iPhones in the video a mother shows
herself unlocking her iPhone 10 using
face ID relocking the device and then
handing it over to her ten-year-old son
who also successfully unlocks the phone
with his face the family does admit it
doesn't always work in different
lighting conditions but plans to
continue testing Apple declined to
comment but referred CNET to its support
page for face ID which mentions the odds
of face ID unlocking for someone else
could be higher in the instance of twins
