the Nintendo switches a home console and
a handheld then there's the Nintendo 3ds
a handheld system that's evolved into
several forms since 2011 the latest is
the new 2d s XL $150 3d free to screen
version that's coming to summer why
while Nintendo frequently updates its
handheld hardware the 2d s XL could be
the new go to version with a more
comfortable feel and slightly smaller
frame a bit of a lower price and big
crisp displays fYI it has the second
mini analog stick and extra rear buttons
that the new 3ds XL has and you can also
play Super Nintendo Virtual Console
games this isn't the cheapest 3ds the
$80 smaller flatter 2d S is nearly half
the price but the two DS XL feels like a
solid new stand in for the older 3ds
systems and it's a likely long-term
replacement for the new 3ds XL after
playing some of the latest 2d s XL games
like V topia hey Pikmin and ever oasis
it's clear that it isn't a switch but
that's also the point it's still a
durable little handheld that plays a lot
of fun games the future definitely lies
with the switch but the 3ds is going to
hang around for a while even if it's
called the 2d s if you like playing old
DS 3ds or retro games that's probably a
good thing
you
