the NES classic is officially going
extinct Nintendo announced manufacturing
of its tiny NES would come to close at
the end of April and fans hoping for a
shot at picking one up aren't too happy
about it
now the NES classic experience supply
issues since its launch in November of
last year and even though Nintendo
announced it sold a million and a half
units by February of 2017 the company
decided it was time to spin down
production in an official statement to
IGN
Nintendo said NES classic edition wasn't
intended to be an ongoing long-term
product however due to high demand we
did add extra shipments to our original
plans I could tell you they also needed
to make a whole lot more controllers but
let's be honest how many of you are even
still regularly playing it anybody now
even though the NES classic is headed
towards a quite end a final handful of
shipments will hit retail stores later
this month for more news and stories
