hi David cats man from CNET here and I'm
at CES 2018 with Optima
these guys make projectors and they're
coming out with the first projector
that's compatible with Alexa so if you
have an Amazon Alexa speaker like an
echo or dot you can talk to it and use
different commands to control the
projector right now they directly
support power input change and volume
there's also support more advanced
functions like picture modes or even
changing the smoothness of the setting
and they're saying that soon they're
gonna come out with the ability to
integrate with Amazon scenes for example
you can have the projector turn on and
then the lights dim and even the screen
raise and lower or turn on your whole
entertainment system in the future to
enable this functionality you got to
install a skill using the Alexa app on
your phone and then once that's
installed the projector itself doesn't
need any additional hardware to get it
to work beyond the voice stuff is the 4k
resolution projector it's got an RGB RGB
color wheel that's new the projector
also supports HDR content and it's got a
nice 1.3 X zooms you can get a little
bit of range moving it back and forth on
the screen you're watching it now on a
100 inch screen innovations screen
that's actually Alexa controllable by
itself you can raise and lower the
screen itself with your voice Optima
also includes a media player so you can
play HDR and 4k content by plugging in a
USB stick and of course it'll work with
pretty much any 4k HDR device you plug
in via HDMI Optimus says the UHD 51a is
gonna come out later in April
just $1700 I'm David Katz Mayer at CES
