hey there i'm josh goldman senior editor
we seen it and this is the first look at
the panasonic lumix DMC GS 20 and it's
the company's top-of-the-line compact
mega zoom featuring a 20x zoom that goes
from an ultra wide-angle 24 millimeters
and extends to 480 millimeters in a body
that's just one point one inches thick
which for right now is the world's
thinnest beating out Canon Powershot SX
260 HS had one point three inches of
course the CS 20 is more than just a
long lens in a skinny body it's got a
new 14 megapixel high sensitivity mas
sensor and Venus engine image processor
that will burst shoot at up to 10 frames
per second at full resolution and let
you capture Full HD video at 60 P in ABC
HD format now those are joined by new
modes for easy panorama capture and just
shoot and pan and the camera handles
everything else and a high dynamic range
mode for more balanced exposures than
you typically get with a point-and-shoot
other features include a 3-inch 460 K
dot resolution touchscreen LCD USB
charging so no more taking the battery
out to charge it and an enhanced
built-in GPS now there's map data that's
included on the bundled DVD which can be
installed on the camera giving you more
precise detailed worldwide maps than
prior GPS models it'll be in stores in
March for about three hundred and fifty
dollars but we still have to do our
hands-on testing before we know if it's
worth picking up stay tuned for a full
review I'm Josh Goldman and that's the
Panasonic Lumix cs20
