do you want better photo quality than
you can get with a point-and-shoot do
you want a smaller camera than the
typical bridge model then Goldilocks
this one may be just right I'm Laurie
Brennan and this is the Panasonic Lumix
cs100 Panasonic puts a 25 to 250
millimeter 10 times zoom plus a 1 inch
sensor in the $700 compact it's the
longest zoom ever paired with this size
sensor in a pocket-sized model for the
most part I really like the design it's
got a grip an electronic viewfinder a
tilting flash and a control ring on the
lens
I wish the LCD could tilt or flip up for
selfies though the feature sets really
good too with 4k video and some
Panasonic specific features including
post focus and 4k burst post focus snaps
multiple shots at multiple focus
distances turning it into a short video
from which you extract the shots you
like 4k burst works the same way for
really fast continuous shooting it's not
best-in-class either for photo and video
quality or speed that would be the Sony
rx100 4 but it's good enough given the
flexibility afforded by the bigger zoom
lens for more on the trade-offs you'll
have to read my review on CNET
