Peretz first couple consumer drones they
were basically toys you piloted with
your smartphone that happened to have
cameras onboard the bebop on the other
hand is made to be a flying camera
I'm Josh Coleman with CNET and the
parrot bebop packs a 14 megapixel camera
with a fisheye f-22 lens with that
camera you'll be able to capture Stills
and 1080p video to its 8 gigs of
internal storage and despite the camera
being stationary parrot is using the
cameras resolution to let you digitally
pan and tilt the picture and stabilize
the image on three axes like its AR
drones the bebop can be flown indoors
with its removable bumpers or outside
but it's motors are more powerful so it
can handle stronger winds and fly faster
controlling can be done with the tablet
or smartphone as usual but for an
additional cost you can get the bebop
with a sky controller that gives you
full physical controls for the drone and
camera increased Wi-Fi range and you can
wirelessly connect to a tablet or to a
screen via HDMI basically giving you a
ground control station battery life is
somewhat brief at about 11 minutes but
the bebop will ship with two batteries
when it arrives in the u.s. in December
for 499 dollars alone or 899 with the
sky controller and three batteries it
will be available in the UK and
Australia in 2015 and pricing for those
regions is still being determined
I'm Josh : and that's a quick look at
the new parent bebop drone
