Parrot's MiniDrone Jumping Sumo rolls, spins, and leaps at your command

if you're not interested in terrorizing
your family friends neighbors and pets
from the sky with a little flying drone
how about hitting the ground with one of
these the 160 dollar jumping sumo from
parrot
I'm Josh Goldberg Cena and the sumo is
one of parrots mini drones that is
entirely controlled with your smartphone
or tablet you connect to it via Wi-Fi
open parrots free flight 3 app for
Android iOS and eventually Windows 8.1
and you get a first person view streamed
from the camera in front from there you
navigate around by sliding the on-screen
stick forward and back and tilting your
phone left or right to turn you can have
the Wheels wide for stability or compact
for tighter spaces then there's the
jumping part where you can trigger this
leg back here to send it straight up or
forward about two and a half feet I know
in and of itself that's not too exciting
until you start setting up obstacles for
it or taking advantage of actually
programming it by setting up a road plan
you can use the camera to take low res
photos and if you plug in a small micro
USB Drive you can record VGA video from
it to you get up to 20 minutes of use
from the included battery though
depending on what you're doing with it
it can be much shorter and it takes 90
minutes to fully charge the price though
will probably be the bigger hurdle to
jump you can read the full review on
cnet.com but if you're looking for a
different kind of drone and have the
money it's certainly a fun way to kill
some time I'm Josh Goldman and that's a
look at parrot mini-drone jumping sumo
