gyms are where you can go to train or
battle other Pokemon if the gym is owned
by your same team color you can take
your Pokemon there to Train it will
level up the prestige points of the gym
as well as help your own pokemon if you
encounter a gym owned by a different
color team you can battle for control of
that gym and yes you have to travel to
the gym in real life once you enter a
battle against another Pokemon you can
tap to attack or swipe to dodge when
your special meter is full you can press
and hold to use your special attack
if you win your battles and you want to
claim the gym for your team you need to
leave one of your pokemon behind to
guard it most gyms are by some sort of
landmark we wanted to show you ours but
unfortunately security was not so keen
on that so we're down here in the
dungeon
you
