Pokemon go is out for iOS and Android
the augmented reality game made its way
online in New Zealand and Australia at
first at the time of this reporting the
app was not available for download in
the US here's the game's story pokemon
are found on earth you can walk around
with the app and capture them all you
essentially use your phone like a
viewfinder the app will overlay Pokemon
you find the description of the game
says certain Pokemon appear near their
native environment look for water type
Pokemon by lakes and oceans to catch a
Pokemon you swipe a ball instead of
fighting one to get items like pokeballs
and potions you'll have to visit certain
landmarks in your town so think
historical markers and monuments the app
is free but there are n app purchase
options Nintendo showed off the game at
e3 and announced it would arrive in July
without a specific date so this release
is kind of a surprise at e3 Nintendo
also announced the Pokemon go plus a $35
accessory it's a wristband that lets you
catch pokemon without opening your phone
the wristband vibrates when pokemon and
near by pressing a button on the go plus
will help you catch a Pokemon the
Pokemon Go game was actually developed
by Niantic the company was also behind
the very popular augmented reality game
