Pokemon go players are feeling the rage
app developer Niantic has removed a
feature in the game called nearby that
showed how close Pokemon were to you the
feature wasn't always reliable so
third-party developers took it upon
themselves to write their own tracking
apps like pokévision these apps use the
same data from the game which made them
a better way to find monsters but since
the app update prominent Pokemon hunting
websites like perky hound have
disappeared from the looks of this tweet
summer assuming these sites were sent a
cease-and-desist letter users from the
Pokemon go development community on
reddit also indicated that Niantic may
be throttling third-party apps one by
restricting how often they request
Pokemon locations and two by blocking IP
addresses where these apps are hosted
some angry players have gone as far as
demanding refunds from the App Store and
Google Play for in-game purchases they
made report suggests that Apple is
honoring these requests so far neither
Nintendo non-ionic have responded to a
request for comment
