RCA Voyager III - This dirt-cheap tablet isn't worth your time

if you want to spend as little as
possible on a tablet you could buy the
RCA Voyager 3 sold exclusively at
Walmart it only costs $50 because of its
price it's comparable to the Amazon fire
another $50 tablet however even though
the two tablets cost the same amount
there are some stark differences first
of all the RCA tablet is really ugly
cheap tablets are usually unsightly but
the RCA tablet is on another level it
has large visible screws on its edges
that make it look more like a prototype
than a finished product and the grille
on the speaker has holes wide enough for
crumbs to fall in performance as to be
expected with cheap electronics is slow
and buggy games take a long time to load
and choppy graphics during gameplay are
common for the first few days I couldn't
even get the Vudu app to launch without
it crashing and it was one of the
pre-installed apps on the tablet its
smudge prone screen is similarly
underwhelming
with poor viewing angles and low maximum
brightness it's also very slow to
respond to taps and swipes additionally
its battery life sucks it only lasted
around three to four hours with heavy
use so you can't even use it for an
entire day without charging it overall
the Amazon fire looks better performs
faster and has a better battery life
than the RCA tablet but one thing the
RCA tablet has that the fire doesn't is
the Google Play Store that means the RCA
tablet has access to a greater number of
apps than the fire which instead uses
the meticulously curated Amazon Appstore
so for example I was able to download
new popular games like Super Mario run
and Power Rangers legacy wars
which aren't available to download on
the fire but really that's about the
only good thing the RCA tablet has over
the Amazon fire if you want a cheapest
dirt bare-bones tablet whether it be for
yourself or a kid I recommend looking at
the Amazon fire tablets first but if you
really need Google Play Store access and
you don't plan on using it much the RCA
Voyager tablet is tolerable just don't
like much from it
