director Ron Howard is taking over as
director for the upcoming Star Wars
movie about everyone's favorite space
smuggler han Solo
the spin-off film lost its two original
directors just a few days ago after
months of shooting Phil Lord and
Christopher Miller parted ways with
Lucasfilm over creative differences The
Hollywood Reporter was first to break
the news that Ron Howard will take over
as director Howard has a history with
Lucasfilm
he worked as an actor on George Lucas's
1973 breakout film American Graffiti and
in the late 80s he directed Lucas's
fantasy flick willow of course it
wouldn't be Howard's first time dealing
with space drama houston we have a
problem although a kiss LaRon may be
more complicated than a slingshot around
the moon the upcoming movie is about the
Avengers of han Solo and Chewbacca
taking place before the duo meet Luke
and Leia in a new hope we'll see a young
Lando Calrissian played by Donald Glover
