hi I'm ty Pendlebury and this is a review of the Samsung F 7100 LCD TV if you were to ask me which Samsung TVs I would recommend to you right now it would be either the flagship Samsung f8000 or the budget F 5000 unfortunately the TVs in the middle are a bit of a mixed bag and while the TV in looking at today is better than the 6 Series below it there are competitors that offer better value the F 70 100 is a nice looking television with a slim silver bezel and a sturdiest and then the cheaper TVs below it it comes loaded with features including voice control a touchpad remote and sophisticated cable box control apps are also another area where this TV excels with most of the major video services and almost exclusive to Samsung right now is Spotify playback the TV is a decent performer of terms of picture quality with ok black levels and good color but given that the best LCD arguably of this year the sony w 900 is only $400 more than the samsung this isn't that greater value without any form of local dimming it's blacks are pretty grey in comparison to the almost plasma like pictures of the sony while the Samsung is quite a good TV its competition is simply too strong please just buy Panasonic Plasma while you still can this has been ty Pendlebury for cnet.com
