Samsung Galaxy S8 may ditch the home button for an all-screen design (CNET News)

samsung's upcoming Galaxy S eight phone
could sport an all screen design
ditching the physical home button and
having hardly any bezel frame around the
edge we've heard this report before from
a publication in South Korea but now
Bloomberg is backing it up with its own
sources saying that the home button is
going to be virtual buried in the glass
in the lower part of the phone the OLED
screen display is said to wrap around
the edges 2017 may be the year we say
goodbye to the smartphone home button
because Apple is also rumoured to be
working on something similar for its
10th anniversary iPhone but if Samsung
comes out with this first Apple may need
something else to seem unique but
Samsung on the other hand has a more
complex challenge after the note 7
recall disaster with phones catching
fire the company needs to regain the
trust of its customers samsung may not
be Apple to the punch if the company
takes more time to conduct safety tests
it's been reported that a rush to be
Apple with aggressive design specs is
what got samsung in trouble in the first
place when it didn't catch the problem
that made the note 7 prone to
overheating for consumers assurances
about safety may take priority over cool
