samsung's new gear VR headset for 2017
looks almost identical to last year's
model but this time it comes bundled
with a controller the controller has a
clickable touchpad a trigger for
selecting or shooting and a bunch of
buttons that let you adjust the volume
or go home or back that means you can
point and select drag and drop objects
and shoot them up
it connects over bluetooth to this new
gear VR headset but also to earlier gear
VR models and yes you will be able to
buy it separately as well one thing
you'll notice about the controller is
that it's small and easy to hold in one
hand we'll just need to spend some time
playing games and navigating experiences
to see how much more or less immersive
the controller can be you'll still be
able to use the headsets trackpad and
buttons to navigate virtual worlds the
controller just gives you far more
options while exploring those worlds and
it's more intuitive to use
if you've ever fumbled around for
buttons near your head you'll agree with
me intuitive is a good thing
