David Katz Meyer at CES 2014 in
Samsung's sprawling booth and one of
many concept TVs on display today is the
company's latest attempt at a
glasses-free 3d television you're
watching 3d right now behind me on this
television and you're not wearing
glasses neither am i I can see it's a 3d
effect relatively well actually move
from side to side on this and the 3d
effect kind of follows you been told
there's 35 different positions that's a
big improved from previous years where
you had to stand a specific places
relative to the television to get the 3d
effect there are some downsides the
effect can be a little bit disorienting
at first and there's a little bit of
blurriness especially when it really
pops out at you but it's a lot better
than previous years and of course you
don't need to wear glasses now nobody
really cares about 3d anymore and I
think the main reason is because of
those glasses and effect there's little
content so maybe when glasses-free 3d
becomes a little more viable with
products like this 3 you might make
another comeback another couple tidbits
this is a UHD 4k resolution television
that uses LED LCD technology of course
one of the reasons it's able to get to
that glasses-free a little bit better is
with all those extra pixels that's a
quick look at Samsung's glasses-free 3d
concept at CES 2014 I'm David Katz Myer
