Samsung's FlexDuo ranges get smart at CES

2016-01-06
am CNET's right Chris here with samsung's new Wi-Fi equipped flex duo slide in range this is a new smart oven from Samsung's that is going to be available this spring pricing is still to be determined we know a little bit about what it's capable of you'll be able to connect with it over Wi-Fi using your smart phone on a samsung app from that app you'd be able to remotely start cooking or stop cooking or monitor the progress of whatever you're cooking now it's probably more useful for stopping a bake than starting one since samsung requires you to actually hit the start set button on the oven itself before you start cooking in the app that's a safety feature so that your kid can't grab your phone and start cooking a 500 degree roast when you're away on vacation now the oven has the same Flex duo feature that we've seen in a lot of previous Samsung ranges and thought is a pretty neat feature the oven is actually able to split two cavities and the door either opens on its own together like this or if you squeeze this handle just the top app opens up kinda like a pizza a cool feature and it's a cool way to kind of bring Flex duo to the next level you like that the samsung Wi-Fi flex duo slide in range is available in electric gas and induction models and like I said pricing is yet to be determined but it will be out this spring and we'll be keeping our eyes out for it
