Samsung's family hub fridges originally emerged on the scene as this crazy six thousand dollar refrigerator that is super aspirational and has all of this crazy tech built inside but now Samsung is adding that same technology to models that they plan to offer for less than the original model so you can still get the 6000 version if you want but there are also a bunch of different styles and designs now so the four door French door model will have that integrated panel in addition to adding more apps like I Heart Radio and Spotify they've also added more customization with the whiteboard function so if you and your family members want to have different memos that you leave you can do that so they're trying to extend more capabilities to broader family members so it isn't just one person having control over that functionality and in addition to that they've also added Samsung S voice functionality so while there isn't smart things or Alexa or Google home integration right now you can still say things like hey show me what's inside the fridge and the cameras they can see what your food is will actually open up and show you you can also make adjustments to the calendar and do all sorts of other things with voice control so that has the potential to be a really cool integration although we would definitely like to see Samsung add integration for its own dedicated smart home platform smart things at some point
