Sennheiser Momentum On Ear: a worthy mid-range contender
Sennheiser Momentum On Ear: a worthy mid-range contender
2013-10-22
hi I'm David Carr Noy and I'm here with
the little brother of Sennheiser's
excellent momentum headphone that's an
over-the-air model while this one is
smaller and sits on your ears which is
why it's called the momentum on-ear it's
got the same premium styling as the
momentum in a slick modern retro look
that makes it stand out in the crowded
headphone market comes in lots of colors
- I found the headphone a little tight
at first but if you bend the metal
headband a bit and loosen things up it
helps with the comfort level and I like
the microfiber cover on the ear cups I
would call these the most comfortable on
ear headphones I've tried but with some
breaking in most people should be able
to wear them for longer listening
sessions without a problem what makes
them more expensive over the year
momentum so good is that it sounds very
accurate is highly detailed and has
tight base it's a real audiophile
headphone for $350 this momentum on-ear
doesn't sound as good but it gets you
about 80% of the way to the momentum and
costs two hundred and thirty dollars it
is a lively sound signature with good
clarity and powerful bass that
outperforms the v-moda on your crossfade
and the 80s four digits bass OMPH
the momentum on-ear also sounds more
open and less kin than the m80 the
larger momentum is a warmer and richer
sounding headphone it's just as detailed
but acoustic instruments and vocals have
a more natural full-bodied tone in our
text review we compare the honor to a
few more headphones so check that out
but for this video review suffice to say
we like this headphone a lot it may not
fully match the larger momentum Sonics
but as I said it gets you 80% of the way
there and costs 120 dollars less I'm
David Carr noise and that's the
sennheiser momentum on-ear
thanks for watching
