hi there I'm Josh Goldman senior editor
with CNET and this is a look at the sony
cybershot DSC h 90 now the H 90 is a
reasonably compact camera considering
has an ultra wide-angle lens with a 16 X
zoom and a 3-inch LCD on back there lens
is the same one used on the higher end
HX 10 V and 2011 sh x9 v it's a very
good lens but the rest of the H 90 is
just average that's mainly because it
uses a 16 megapixel CCD sensor instead
of the backside illuminated CMOS sensor
found on the other two models now that
makes a big difference when it comes to
low-light photos and performance the CCD
sensor and this just can't compete if
you can afford spending a little extra
money get the HX 10 V because you get a
much better camera now that doesn't mean
you should write off the H 90 completely
it's good outdoors in daylight and it's
shooting performance is fine for
landscapes and portraits basically
nothing moving it has some nice features
including Sony's sweep panorama mode and
a manual mode for controlling shutter
speed and aperture and again it has a
nice long lens
I'm Josh Kelvin and that's the sony
cybershot each night
