hey there i'm josh goldman senior editor
with CNET and this this is a really
small camera
it's sony's new cybershot DSC TX 66
which is pretty much the same as 2011
STX 55 but with a few changes to keep
things interesting the carry over stuff
includes a brilliant 3.3 inch OLED
touchscreen and a 5 X 26 to 130
millimeter zoom lens all in an ultra
compact body that is no thicker than a
double-a battery the new tech includes
an 18 megapixel BSI CMOS sensor an
improved autofocus system for faster
shooting indoors and out and enhanced
low-light shooting capabilities the TX
66 will also capture AVC HD video at
1080 60 i and you can simultaneously
capture 13 megapixel photos beyond those
things you get a lot of automatic
shooting modes including Sony's sweet
panorama and background defocus options
as well as 9 picture effects what's
nicer is Sony's added some extra control
over brightness color and vividness that
can be used even in its intelligent auto
mode so if you don't like the cameras
color processing you can tweak it for
your tastes so if you're looking for
something better than your smartphone
without getting weighed down this will
probably be the one to check out I'll
let you know for sure though if it's
worth it's 350 dollar price tag when we
get done with all of our testing I'm
Josh Goldman and that's a look at the
sony cybershot DX 66
you
