hey there I'm Josh Goldman
senior editor with CNET and this is the
Sony Vaio t13 Touch which is identical
to Sony's 13-inch t-series ultrabook
from earlier this year except that it's
now running on Windows 8 and it's 1366
by 768 pixel resolution 13.3 inch LCD is
now a touchscreen with edge to edge
glass so now instead of using the
touchpad to access things you can get
fingerprints all over your screen while
you work the third generation 1.7
gigahertz Core i5 processor backed by
six gigs of memory a 500 gig hybrid hard
drive with 32 gigs of flash memory and
integrated Intel graphics has no
problems handling the new interface or
everyday tasks and battery life is solid
with it capable of running more than
five hours and all of that in a body
that's just under 4 pounds and a little
more than half an inch thick the screen
is responsive but if you don't want to
use it you can use the touch pad to
accomplish some of the same gestures
also while Sony includes painting and
drawing software from ArtRage it's a bit
awkward to use especially since the
screen bounces a bit when you poke at it
and it doesn't completely open to a flat
position overall though if you think you
may want to have access to touch
features with a traditional laptop
design it's not a bad way to go
I'm Josh Goldman and that's the sony
vaio t13 touch
