Sony XBR-X900E: Midpriced TV with a high-end picture
2017-12-01
hello everyone you're looking at a
mid-price sony TV with some high-end
styling features and image quality I
really liked it especially the image
quality part the first thing you'll
notice about the X 900 II seen here in a
65 inch size but also available smallest
49 inches and its largest 75 is the
sleek minimalist styling it's
no-nonsense matte black border is really
thin making the TV look like almost all
picture and there's a nice central
pedestal stand instead of the weird legs
you'll find on many other TVs features
wise the X 900 II uses Google's Android
TV operating system which Sony has put
in all of its TVs for the past few years
there's a great selection of apps beyond
mainstays like Netflix and Amazon and
many of them offer 4k and high dynamic
range Sony added Google assistant this
year as well click the mic button and
talk into the remote and you can launch
apps perform searches and even order
pizza and Google even talks back I found
a few places within 0.6 miles by the way
if you don't want to use the remote you
can also control the Sony with select
voice commands from either a Google home
or an Amazon alexis smart speaker on a
TV like this what really matters is
image quality and the X 900 e delivers
its full array local dimming help
provide excellent contrast and pop with
all kinds material color was highly
accurate and its high dynamic range
performance in particular was great it
won't match OLED TVs of course but it
does perform as well as any mid-range
LCD I've tested this year
