Amazon founder Jeff Bezos uses Amazon
stocks to fund his outerspace company
Blue Origin is bezos's rocket company
which has been working toward reliable
travel to and from Earth's orbit but
instead of relying entirely on investors
to get the company into space Bezos is
literally putting his own money where
his mouth is
at the annual Space symposium in
Colorado Bezos revealed that every year
he sells off about a billion dollars of
his own shares of Amazon stock to fund
Blue Origin that's billion with a be
considering Bezos recently surpassed
warren buffett to become the second
richest person on earth with a 75
billion dollar fortune even scrooge
mcduck could swimmin we're guessing
he'll be just fine self funding his
space dreams if it seems like there are
a lot of eccentric billionaires obsessed
with space travel that's because there
are Richard Branson owns Virgin Galactic
and Elon Musk founded SpaceX it'll still
be a while yet before any of these
companies start sending actual tourists
into space but it looks like the future
of Blue Origin is pretty solid at least
as long as we all keep ordering stuff
off of Amazon for more check out
