space war one of the first video games

commemorate the event MIT students
created a simulation of space war on an
end Reno Maiko controller the small
computer has about the same computing
power as the PDP one that space war was
written on by Steve Russell and other
MIT students the two-player game has two
spaceships shooting torpedoes at each
other while avoiding the gravitational
pull of the Sun in the middle it had a
big influence on university students
interested in computers in the 1960s and
on future video games such as asteroids
