can you spot the SmartWatch in this shot
the Tag Heuer connected modular 45 is
not quite as striking as its analog
counterpart but it comes pretty close
same luxury components seamless Swiss
engineering and similar dimensions the
main giveaway here is the display a 400
by 400 pixel AMOLED screen made of
sapphire crystal that's always on to
some extent running the latest version
of Android wear in the background
this is Tag Heuer second attempt at a
SmartWatch and their second
collaboration with Intel so what's
different this time around it mainly
comes down to the modular design
everything from the straps to the watch
face on this model can be customized and
can even be swapped out for a non
SmartWatch body if the tech becomes
obsolete and there are plenty of options
to choose from it just comes down to how
much you're willing to spend you can
spend anywhere from $1600 for a titanium
watch with rubber straps to $7000 for
this blinged out version with real
diamonds and since most of the antennas
are under the bezel including a new
built in GPS the entire body is made of
titanium this time around
no plastic back instead you'll find a
proximity sensor on the back and a
charging dock it gets about five more
hours of use than its predecessor for a
total of 30 hours according to Intel and
it's water resistant up to 50 meters
looks aside this is still your standard
Android wear watch same connected
features like notifications steps and
app compatibility at five times the
price but tag heuer is a luxury brand
and functionality is probably not your
main concern anyways if you're looking
to buy one the connected modular 45 is
available now at Tag Heuer retailers or
online and starts at around $1,600
