hi this is Brian Bennett for cnet.com and today we're taking a first look at the Duracell Powermat 24 hour power system available for $99.99 the Duracell Powermat 24 hour power system provides an easy though luxurious way to keep your phone and other mobile gadgets juiced up and ready for duty the 24 hour power system comes in three main parts first is the power mat charger which has two charging stations one on either side second is the special case that enables your phone to do wireless charging for now the power mat 24-hour power system comes with either a case for fourth generation iPhones or Samsung Galaxy s3 handsets the third most compelling piece of the puzzle is the portable backup battery the battery can charge wirelessly on the mat and or sell claims it has enough power for four phone recharges also nice is that the battery has both an apple connector and micro USB cords to pass-through power from the mat to compatible devices setup is easy just connect the power mat to an AC outlet and place the phone cover on your handset next simply drop the phone or battery pack onto the mat the mat plays a chime tone and turns on an LED light to let you know charging has begun you'll also feel a little magnetic tug as the devices click into place the power mat 24-hour power system is also lightweight and compact what makes the product easy to travel with - is its AC adapter that uses a cable that's easy to stow I'm Brian Bennett and this has been a first look at the Duracell Powermat 24 hour power system check back soon at scenic comm for a full review
