so the New York Times this week they
posted this article about the progress
that's being made in the area of
workplace surveillance there's this
company that they profile in the article
and it's called sociometric solutions
it's a start-up and they're gaining
traction right now because they have
this product that offers employers the
ability to use an ID badge they have two
microphones built in mic here front and
back that's not how the location sensor
built into it a GPS sensor and an
accelerometer as well see how fast your
move yeah exactly and so you can imagine
how something like this if you put it on
saying a waiter they can measure the man
or woman's tone of voice you can measure
things like posture for example that's
how you go you use the accelerometer
that's built in body language and maybe
even trends that that people notice over
time like oh this person is walking too
slow or they're engaging in too much
conversation or not enough conversation
see that's where it's going to happen
it's not gonna happen in like a mom and
pop restaurants gonna happen at you know
tgif run rice it'll be like you didn't
offer the customers the shrimp Shack
shooters right whatever you know what
happens specialist and seafoods about to
turn your offer everybody's deal
you
