hello I'm Luke Westlake for CNET's we're
here at the ephah tech tradeshow in
Berlin
taking a look at this it's the Acer da
241 HL now design wise this looks like
an ordinary all-in-one you get a
wireless keyboard and a mouse and it's
got a little stand thing basically all
the Computing's on the inside but this
has a trick up its sleeve because it's
running Android not Windows to control
it you'll be using this 24 inch touch
panel you can see it looks just like a
normal tablet or phone when I swipe
around on it here so you'll get the
familiar Android app tray and home
screens which you can customize yourself
one nice feature is that you can tilt
this display all the way down if you
want to and ASA is boasting about the
viewing angle which means you should be
able to crowd quite a few people around
the screen before you start to see
things like color warping it's running
Android version 4.2 and that's good
because it gives you access to the
Google Play app store which has
thousands of apps and games on the other
hand if you want a normal desktop to do
things like run Microsoft Office or
ordinary tasks this probably isn't what
you're looking for because you'll find
that lots of established software won't
work on Android so I'm not convinced
this is a truly brilliant idea but it is
an interesting concept and it'll be
interesting to see how good it actually
proves to be on the questura CNET please
