hey guys this is eric franklin I'm cnet
com and today I'm taking a first look at
the acer iconia w4 this is a follow-up
to the w3 from earlier this year that
one had a really disappointing screen
but thankfully this one the screen has
been upgraded the iconia w4 features the
same basic design as a w3 but now
includes a much more pleasant to look at
IPS screen with a 1280 x 800 resolution
the tablet ships with Windows 8.1 and
includes a bay trail processor there's
also a micro USB port micro HDMI and a
sim card slot for future cellular
version the tablet still includes the
kind of awkward to press windows button
on the front but at least a screen felt
responsive and viewing angles appear to
be wide we're not one hundred percent
sure if the tablet will work with a sers
keyboard accessory for the w3 but since
their designs are so similar we be
surprised they didn't there's no
confirmed release date but it will hit
stores for 299 dollars once again i'm
eric franklin and this has been a first
look at the acer iconia w4
