The Asus Transformer Infinity TF701 blazes an impressive performance trail

hey guys this is eric franklin from cnet
com and today I'm taking a first look at
a tablet I've been pretty excited about
for quite some time it's the asus
transformer pad infinity tf700 one this
is the fully upgraded version of the
transformer pass as ace uses premier
android tablet when I say fully upgraded
asus really went to town on the specs on
this thing it has a 1.9 gigahertz NVIDIA
Tegra 4 processor with a 2560 by 1600
resolution screen there's also two
gigabytes of RAM Bluetooth 3.0 a
micro-hdmi port microsd a 5 megapixel
back camera and a 1 point 2 megapixel
front camera on the keyboard dock there
says USB 3.0 port there is a full size
of SD port right here and there's a full
size battery in the keyboard dock as
well as one in the tablet portion of the
device performance is smooth the 2560 by
1600 screen is really really sharp as
you can see here text is really sharp
especially a life that Asus included
their super IPS mode so the screen gets
really really bright there's one thing
I'm disappointed with is the overall
build quality of the new Infiniti it
doesn't have that aluminum metal feel
it's more plastic key it's also a little
bit thicker it's probably a little bit
heavier than the last generation
infinity I guess asus felt they have to
sacrifice somewhere with all these
world-beating high-end specs in there
they have the sacrifice on something in
order to get price right and speaking of
price asus tells me they're thinking
somewhere between 400 and 500 dollars
that doesn't nearly narrow it down but
they just haven't decided yet as far as
release date we're looking at somewhere
around november of 2013 once again i'm
eric franklin and this has been a first
look at the asus transformer
had infinity tf700
