hey it's Justin from CNET today I'm
taking a first look at the audio
technica ath 60 turntable now what makes
this one so special aside from the
budget price tag is the built-in phono
preamp so unlike other turntables you'd
normally buy out of the box the phono
preamp along with a few cable adapters
let you hook this turntable up to any
stereo amp receiver computer boombox
bluetooth speaker or whatever else with
an analogue audio jack that makes it
ideal for people just getting back into
buying records or if they don't want to
spend too much to get started it's
belt-driven so it's more suited for
at-home listening and audio technica
makes it pretty easy to set up by pre
setting the counterweight and tracking
force you can adjust the settings for
platter speed and both 7 and 12-inch
records and there's also a 45 adapter
disc in there too the only downsides
here are that you can't upgrade to a
better photo cartridge but you can
replace the cartridges stylus or needle
so you can improve the setup in the
future
again this is a beginners turntable only
so if you're an audiophile or plan to
get into the record game for the long
term consider it an upgrade to the
u-turn orbit or the project debut check
out full details on this turntable in
the review on SEANET thanks for watching
you just checked out a quick review of
the audio technica LP 60 turntable
