The Dell XPS 10 runs Windows RT, feels like a laptop

hey guys this is Eric Franklin from
cnet.com and today I'm taking the first
look at the Dell XPS 10
this is Dells first Windows RT tablet
Windows RT is kind of the light version
of Windows 8 you still get the new touch
interface and it comes with Microsoft
Office but you can't run any other
native Windows programs as 10-inch
tablets go the XPS 10 is about as light
as an iPad has a really wide bezel a
depressive all windows button on the
front a 2 megapixel front camera a
volume rocker and headphone jack power
button on top next to a compartment that
houses a microSD slot and a 5 megapixel
camera on the back on the bottom edge
are dual speakers a charging port and a
micro USB port the XPS 10 costs 500
bucks for just the tablet or for an
extra 180 bucks you can get the keyboard
attachment with it
the keyboard includes two full USB ports
mini HDMI and extra charging port and
houses an extra battery the keys are a
bit small into my big hands it feels a
bit cramped to type on the XPS 10 has a
10.1 inch screen with a 1366 by 768
resolution and while the resolution
works well for the windows touch
interface and the desktop some games in
particular Riptide GP and hydro thunder
definitely have more aliasing than I
would like it doesn't have as many
physical features as a surface RT tablet
and I still prefer that wider screen on
the surface but the XPS 10 is a fine
alternative especially if you want
something that feels more like an actual
laptop and you want that extra battery
life more information check out my full
review once again America Franklin and
this has been a first look at the Dell
XPS
