HP delivers an elegant feature-rich
desktop which performs pretty
respectively for the price in its 2017
update to the envy curved all-in-one 34
behind the front mesh are for Bang &
Olufsen certified speakers they sound
really good much better than on the
27-inch model because the base is bigger
there's room for two passive radiators
which results in improved bass and
enough of a frequency range that you can
actually hear the differences among the
presets there's also a cool touch audio
control on the right side of the base
and a qi wireless charging pad on the
left side for devices that support it
the display delivers wide quad HD
resolution in a 21 - 9 aspect ratio it's
got a slightly tighter radius than its
predecessor and it's non reflective
which is really nice and the width makes
it great for working with side by side
windows because it's stuck between HD
and Ultra HD resolution though it's not
really optimized for full screen video
it handles fullscreen games pretty well
though especially when you expand the
field of view in the game settings I
like HP's design choices here all the
guts are in the base with an SD card
slot USB C charging port and headphone
jack easily accessible on the side plus
there are four USB and HDMI in and out
and an Ethernet connection on the back
one of the niftier design choices is the
retractable webcam it not only preserves
the thin bezel aesthetic of the monitor
it can rest assured that no one's
watching you
