hi I'm Laurie green and senior editor at
Cena and I'm here at CES where Nikon
announced a few cameras what the first
one is the Nikon 1 j2 it's the update to
the J Series which they had just
released or announced a j2 in the fall
so this sort of came out of the blue but
it is a more of an update from the j2
it's got 14 megapixels CF size sensor
this is the new 10 to 100 millimeter
lens the kit lens will still be the 10
to 30 millimeter and will run for six
hundred dollars when it ships in
February some of the new things in the
camera are it has a flash that you can
tilt back which is a really nice feature
for getting a nice flash effect without
the harshness of the light it also has a
much needed physical mode dial on top
which is a really nice because a lot of
people who buy this camera are
enthusiasts and we like our mode dials
physical it's got a very nice well
designed body it feels comfortable it
feels sturdy my one big problem with a
lot of these cameras is that they don't
have grips so they get really slippery
and I report to testing it when it comes
out I'm worried grinning and
one j-3
