hi i'm ty pendlebury from cnet and this
is a review of the panasonic e 50
television ever since pioneer pulled out
at the television race there's been one
name on the top of the heap when it
comes to plasmas panasonic but
unfortunately plasmas don't sell as well
as LCDs or the sexiest sounding LEDs and
so the company is branched out to offer
the customer more choice the e 50 series
sits at the budget end of Panasonic's
line and for goes some of the high-end
features such as 3d and local dimming
however it still has smart TV with easy
access to netflix and the like however
it's a wired connection only unless you
buy a wireless dongle for between fifty
and a hundred dollars style-wise it's
okay with a piano black bezel which
should fit most rooms and it's
relatively slim as well despite its
budget nature the TV does offer for HDMI
ports and an SD card slot for viewing
pictures picture quality though is
disappointing with colors that are just
a little bit to read and with black
levels that are among some of the worst
available at the price if I was wanting
to spend around a thousand dollars on
the TV I'd skip over this one completely
and get either Panasonic's own UT 50
plasma or the toshiba 5200 LCD this has
been ty pendlebury for CNN com
you
