hey guys difficult here and this is the
WD elements purple drive now this is
another typical purple drive on the
market another because just the other
day I talked about these Seagate
expansion drive and the two of them are
very very similar they both offer up to
two terabytes for space both are easy to
use compact and both offer nothing else
but just the storage space most
importantly they are both very
inexpensive in fact the WD here is a bit
cheaper costing just $85 for to tear by
you can also get the one terabyte of 500
gig or just 55 and 50 dollars
respectively now in testing the W here
is a bit slower averaging some 100
megabyte per second via USB 3.0 that's
been quite fast and the drive also works
with USB 2.0 now this one is a babbled
writer offers no extra features such as
security and that means you don't want
to easy to store important or sensitive
information in case you lose it but that
also means it can work virtually
anywhere from computers to game console
to routers to any other type of host I
tried my Xbox one and it worked really
well I can use it to store apps game and
media for playback in fact it works so
well my skill of dance central improve a
great deal just kidding I suck at it the
dry is also very easy to you just
connect it through this USB port right
here using this included foot long cable
to a host and you're basically done for
window computers the drive also includes
the WD smart wear pro for backup but
only the 30-day trial version of it but
overall thank to the high capacity and
especially the low cost this is still
one of the best deal on the market for
more on this drive check out my full
review as cnet.com if you're wondering
which one to get these elements drive
all the expansion well the difficulty of
two of them is very minor just like
between bravery and courage that's mean
you should have them both which I do all
the time
24 hours in them and that's because I'm
W and this has been the first look at
the double D element Provo Drive
