The Xbox One and One S side by side comparison

2016-06-14
the Xbox 1s is 40% smaller than the original Xbox one console and it's significantly different in size but not nearly as dramatic as Microsoft made it out to be in its debut video here's what they actually look like side-by-side just the power brick on the original Xbox one alone is about 1/4 of the new console in width there's also no power brick and the Xbox 1s instead has an internal power supply making it the first Xbox that actually doesn't have an outside power brick it has HD rfx and supports 4k video output for streaming video and blu-ray but it doesn't necessarily support 4k gaming the front of the console sports a USB port and an IR blaster unlike you hid inside USB port on the original the new Xbox 1s also comes with a brand new controller that uses Bluetooth missing from the console is a port for the Kinect sensor so you'll have to purchase a separate dongle if you want Kinect capability the Xbox one S is slated for early August and starts at $2.99 for the 500 gigabyte model the 2 terabyte version that's a special edition that's going to cost you 399 and when those are gone the Xbox one will go back down to 350 for a one terabyte version
