this is josh lowensohn for cnet and i'm
here taking a look at the xbox one this
is microsoft's brand new xbox launching
later this year what's big and new
pretty much everything we have a brand
new version of kinect a brand new
console and new controllers kind of a
big deal they finally added blu-ray
which of course Microsoft picked the
wrong camp with the xbox 360 picking HD
DVD so now we have something that is
pretty much ubiquitous with
high-definition discs on the back we
have a bunch of USB 3 ports HDMI but the
big new deal is that they want this to
be the centerpiece of your living room
that means it works with television now
live television you can switch two
channels and a lot of its voice
controlled so you can just say switch to
TV switch to a certain channel xbox show
the guide there's even a built-in
programming guide we don't yet know a
price for this or some of the big launch
games we got a couple demos today but
microsoft said we're going to know more
about that at e3 which is the second
week of june here from redmond this is
