the actioncam category is exploding with
options in all shapes and sizes and they
all have ultra wide-angle lenses to give
you a big view of your surroundings the
kodak pixpro SP 360 however goes beyond
ultra wide I'm Josh grobin with cnet and
the SP 360 s lens is wide enough to give
you a full 360 degree panoramic view
with its large curved lens turn it on
and you can start capturing circular
1440 x 1440 resolution video at 30
frames per second then with codex mobile
app or desktop software you can unwrap
the video and view it manipulate it in
several different ways you can export it
in one of these other views but at a big
hit to quality and it can't be
manipulated by others you share the
clips with however if the excitement
wears off with the 360 degree video you
can point the lens directly at your
subject and capture regular wide-angle
full HD video the body of the camera is
water resistant as well as dust shock
and freezeproof and can be mounted on
its tripod mount or using one of the
many options included with the camera
there are a few minor annoyances like
the fact that you have to connect to or
disable Wi-Fi every time you turn the
camera on to start recording but if you
want an action cam that gives you 360
degree views to experiment with and cut
into your regular full HD video this is
it I'm Josh Goldman and that's a quick
look at the kodak pixpro SP 360
