The skinny on Logitech's Ultrathin Keyboard for iPad Mini
The skinny on Logitech's Ultrathin Keyboard for iPad Mini

I'm David Cano executive editor cnet com
and I'm here with the Logitech ultrathin
keyboard mini this is essentially a
smaller version of the company's
ultrathin keyboard for the standard size
ipad and what the interesting thing
about this keyboard is it essentially
acts as a screen cover for your ipad 8
adheres magnetically to your ipad
creating a very thin profile the one
drawback to the whole setup is that it
does not protect the back of your ipad
so your ipad is essentially exposed but
logitech has done a very good job of
matching the finish on the back of the
ipad to the back of the keyboard so it
really looks like one nice integrated
package this comes in both black and
white so you can match it with either
color ipad in terms of the actual
keyboard this is one of the best many
keyboards we've seen at least all the
keys are there there are some shortcut
keys as well it still is going to feel a
little bit cramped for folks especially
with folks with bigger hands it's a
little strange because your hands feel
like they need to shift a little bit to
the left from your traditional keyboard
with all these smaller keyboards for the
ipad mini we are seeing some trade-offs
being made however this keyboard
probably has the least amount of
trade-offs it does offer excellent
battery life about three months a
logitech says it does charge via USB and
it is a Bluetooth keyboard you simply
pair the keyboard and then prop the iPad
in the integrated slot on the keyboard
stands up nicely essentially looks like
a mini notebook a solid keyboard for the
ipad mini i'm david carr nguoi and
that's the logitech ultrathin keyboard
mini thanks for watching
